Packing Your Roti for Travel. (ROTI here refers to the bread only (or Skins, or Wraps) not the sandwich.)
When Customers order our roti (dhalpuris and parathas or aloopuris) we typically package it mildly warm in paper and aluminium foil. However if you wish to order Dhalpuruis or Parathas or Aloopuris for traveling, you may want to consider two options:
1. Purchase our already frozen rotis in convenient freezer packs.
The benefit here is that the rotis are already frozen and are in convenient individually sealed packages.
2. Request the staff to pack your (freshly cooked) rotis in plastic bags.
The rotis are cooled and then packed in 3’s or 4’s or 5’s in plastic bags which are then sealed.
This form of packaging may also be used if you plan to use your rotis a day or two after purchasing them.
There is no additional cost for this ‘plastic packaging.’
One benefit of plastic packing is that the rotis retain moisture and tenderness for much longer than traditional foil packaging.
Another benefit for travelers going across borders is that the plastic packaging allows security and customs officers to see exactly ‘what you have in that bag”.
Note on Dhalpuris and Aloopuris:
These two items are very delicate and if not consumed within 4 to five hours of cooking, must be refrigerated. Do not take unfrozen dhalpuris or aloopuris on long trips.
