ORDER REFERENCE:
When you place an order our customer staff will ask you for a reference telephone number and your name; when you come to pick up your order please provide the same name and telephone number to the counter staff. Providing the wrong name or telephone number can delay the delivery of your order, and delay service to other customers.

ALIMA'S BAKERY

Now Open! Come in amd try some of our new Bakery products. We have a variety of fresh oven baked breads, pastries and sweet goods.

Please note that we are a take-out facility and eating  IN THE STORE is not permitted.

Help us keep our shop and the parking lot free of litter. If you have any litter to discard our counter staff will be happy to take it from you.

Also please park in the designated parking area. Parking alongside the doors is an inconvenience to other tenants who have to drive by, and also dangerous for your vehicle as we know from experience.

OUR RETURN POLICY:
We know that inevitably from time to time customers may see the need to return an item for some reason. Alima’s will replace an item or issue a refund for an item if the said item is returned whole or substantially whole. We shall not give a replacement or refund if the item is “eaten” or “thrown away”. Our counter staff is instructed to abide by this policy.

TAXES ON FOOD ITEMS – Customers required to pay taxes.

The HST (Harmonized Sales Tax)is administered by the Ontario Ministry of Finance, and Canada Revenue Agency. Beyond the tax %,  the HST can be very involved for food items, in terms of what items are taxable or not, the type of food item, the type of establishment selling the item, the dollar sale level, how the items are packaged, the combination of items in one bill, the quantity sold, the storage of the item before the sale, whether the item is hot or cold and other considerations. 

Alima Foods Inc. has setup its computerized cash register system based on consultations with experts, and input from Canada Revenue Agency.

Customers are required by law to pay the taxes as calculated by our POS system and displayed on the bill. All taxes collected go to the CRA.  It is a criminal offence to take delivery of an item then refuse to pay the taxes.

If any customer has any question on the way we charge taxes, please contact the CRA and they will contact us.

Freezer-pack products are frozen

Our Freezer-pack Rotis and Doubles are frozen. Some customer want 'fresh' (not frozen) Freezer-pack products. Please Note:

1). The process of making the freezer-packs is time consuming and also requires the setting up of equipment. We usually do this at night. To have "fresh freezer-packs" on-demand by customers is not something that is viable for us at this time. It would also cost the customer more if we were to do this on demand, when we are not doing a large batch. From time to time we do a large batch of a particular product during the day, and if a customer were to ask for a "fresh" freezer-pack of that same product at that time, we would be happy to supply it. At other times we can not.

2). Please note that because the rotis are frozen it does not mean that they are not fresh. They are freshly cooked. We make freezer packs three to four times a week and by the week-end they are usually all sold. So they are quite 'fresh' as you would recognize when you thaw and microwave, and enjoy, them.
